The Game Trail

“The Game Trail” is a set of material in game format which was primarily developed as a tool to assist individuals and groups in studying for the Learner Hunters and Guides examinations.

Different ways to learn about Zimbabwe are provided, for different purposes, e.g.

  • Study for National Parks Learner Hunters and Guides examinations, using the cards as flashcards. (Includes booklet on use of flashcards for studying)
  • Play a board game for fun
  • Use the cards for Pub Quiz questions;
  • Use the cards for classroom activities in Zimbabwean schools
  • Improve your Zimbabwean general knowledge.

The Game Trail - contents

The set contains:

Cards

2000+ questions/answers on cards (based on past exam questions since 1997 – words & pictures) in the following sets:

  • Firearms
  • General Paper
  • Habits & Habitats
  • Law

The cards can be bought in individual packs for use as flashcards, without having to buy the board and rest of the game material.

Game Board & Game Pieces

For 2 to 6 players (for the board game) including a map of Zimbabwe for identifying National Parks Estate, border posts, etc.

The Game Trail - board & pieces

Book

Containing all the questions/answers for easy comparative reference & other info (e.g. animal spoor, firearm parts & minimum calibers, National Parks Estate.)

This collaborative learning material is designed to encourage relaxed, fun discussion of points raised and debate about answers because it is in this debate that everyone is learning.
